Ion channel subtype selectivity is assessed using the B'SYS panel of ion channel subsets providing the basis for selectivity screens.  The important issue of ion channel state dependency is particularly important in assessing effects on sodium- and calcium channels:  the therapeutic usefulness and action of compounds is determined by their ability to bind in defined electrical states.

• B'SYS has implemented dedicated setups and employs validated protocols to detect a preference of your compounds for ion channel subtypes (subtype selectivity) or for a given state of the ion channel (state dependence).
